I think the Lord of The Rings was very good.
Usually the movies spoil the whole novel.
Twilight was not a bad movie but compared I felt no emotions watching it. It would have been boring if not for the book
what’s your favourite movie that originated from a book?
marley and me
I think the Bourne trilogy are pretty damn awesome movies. I love Ultimatum best!
tthe persuit of happiness
No Country For Old Men
Of Mice and Men
12 Angry Men
Misery
The Mist
Stephen Kings It
Pet Semetary
The Outsiders
The Golden Compass
Harry Potter Series
Red Dragon
Cujo ( cugo?)
No country for old men, captured the essence of the book perfectly, most films deviate greatly from their source material, ie; The running man by richard bachman (Stephen king.)
bridge to terabithia and spiderwick
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly by Jean-Dominique Bauby
Interview with a vampire
I love the movie and the book was great Ann Rice is one of the best writers I think.
Captain Corelli’s mandolin. Beautiful scenery, and a much better ending than the book!
Nicholas sparks ‘a walk to remember’..at first i find it so cheesy but it actually meant a lot..like finding true love. It’s not easy to find true love nowadays..& the part where she died and got her miracle with him changing his life because of her..how two different people from different lives love each other..it’s really heartfelt.
Shindler’s List, great movie in my opinion.
“Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”
“The Golden Compass”
“The Notebook”
The Harry Potter movies (well, most of them. I’m a GIGANTIC HP freak, so I’ll admit that there are a few extra details they could’ve included. More Quidditch! LOL!)
There are so many good ones. These are some of my favourites:-
THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION
PAPILLON
DANCES WITH WOLVES
SCHINDLER’S LIST
EMPIRE OF THE SUN
THE KILLING FIELDS
ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST
A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT
THE HORSE WHISPERER
LEGENDS OF THE FALL
APOCALYPSE NOW
DANGEROUS MINDS
LORD OF THE RINGS
The Shawshank redemption by Stephen King as it is the best film ever made, screw twilight and that rubbish this is the best film ever
Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas
The Godfather
Fight Club
High Fidelity
A Clockwork Orange
Dune
The Princess Bride
Saving Private Ryan
All these movies are great either in conjunction with or in spite of the book.
Definitely The Shawshank Redemption!
That story was made into one of the greatest films of all time. Have to watch it. I’ve seen it (no kidding) about 50 times..
Trust us on this one..:)
You’ll smile, laugh, cringe, cry, despair – do everything BUT turn the movie off.

I love Twilight but i have to admit that the books were so much better
the harry potter book are done well in films
Series of Unfortunate events was done REALLY well, the book is practically the script for the film lolz!! Jim Carey was amazing~(always is!!)
Cujo was made well
The shining, the book was really well written and i think they showed this in the original film
the shawshank redemption was okay, it was like the novel but i didn’t think it was an amazing story to be honest,
Oh! and lord of the rings was good too, but frodo gets on my nerves lolz!!
I agree with you that the films normally ruin the books but these are a few exceptions
xxx
The Godfather. A masterpiece of cinema. (The book isn’t any good at all.)
